Roughly, this is how much will it cost to get a quality home inspection

Without a lot of travel required, a typical home inspection for a 3 to 5 bedroom house, with 2 floors, 3 bathrooms and not older than 25 years would cost $475.00 plus GST (5% Canadian Tax).

My home inspections take about five hours to complete (2+ hours at the home, and a further 3 to 4 hours to compose and electronically deliver the report).

A typical home inspection costs approximately 1/10th of 1% of the home’s selling price.  Other professionals will take a full 7%.

Legal professionals charge a great deal more than a home inspector, and  most seldom see or set foot inside the home.

Every licensed home inspector in BC has errors or omissions protection and has liability coverage  -  I also have WCB and a valley-wide business license.

Professional Home Inspectors in BC are required to “upgrade their skills” on a regular basis to maintain their professional status.
